Big Air Olympia Pyoengchang

The Big Air competition at the 2018 Winter Olympics in Pyeongchang debuted as an official Olympic discipline. The event was held at the Alpensia Ski Jumping Centre, which was equipped with a temporary ramp for the occasion. The construction was carried out by Schneestern. The ramp, with a total height of 49 m and a maximum incline of 40 degrees, was the largest of its kind worldwide. It enabled athletes to achieve longer airtime for complex tricks and was built from steel structures, wood, and snow.
