MTB trails & parks

What to do with the mountain bikers? We have your solution!

Trail park, flow trail, bike park, single track or even e-bike trail, the terminology could not sound more diverse and yet they always aim for the same thing: a joyful nature experience with the mountain bike. A seemingly simple claim, which however - as many of those responsible are surely aware - is very complex in its implementation. Visitor guidance, nature conservation, recreational function, liability issues, and the trails should also be fun to ride. How can these demands be coordinated? We help you to find your way through this "infrastructure jungle" and take into account all important stakeholders. At the end of the common path is an MTB infrastructure that not only makes mountain bikers of all skill levels happy, but also all other stakeholders. We plan and build contemporary mountain bike trails & parks for you.

What does the future of mountain biking look like to you?

How to build a pumptrack?

Pumptracks are built in different ways. If we take the asphalt pump track as the default case, then the procedure is not all that different from "normal" construction projects, such as building a road. However, before the first machine starts shaping the cubatures of the pumptracks, every project is preceded by a planning phase. The starting point is usually an initial consultation. Once the area is known, a first preliminary design can be created and, based on this, the further procedure is decided. Once the details have been clarified, the planning work enters the "hot" phase. What follows is the classic constructional implementation. If you would like to know all the steps in detail, please contact us for an initial consultation.

For whom is a pumptrack suitable?

Originally, the first pump tracks were made of earth and built exclusively by and for mountain bikers. Since those early days, however, much has changed and with the introduction of the asphalt pump track, the spectrum of users has expanded significantly. Basically, regardless of the sporting equipment, a pumptrack is just as suitable for beginners, novices and children as it is for experienced athletes. The degree of difficulty and risk of a facility depends on the speed of the user and only gets higher when you can also ride faster. Or in other words, if you ride slowly, you don't have to worry about injuries. As for the choice of sports equipment, the rule for asphalt pump track is: anything that rolls. Mountain bike, city bike, skateboard, running bike, inline skates, scooter or wheelchair, everyone can have fun on the Pumptrack.

How much does a pumptrack cost?

It shouldn't come as a big surprise to say that the price of a pump track facility depends on its size. However, in principle, the type of construction, in addition to the size, also has a significant impact on the budget. An earth pump track with a paved surface is certainly the cheapest solution, but also the one that requires the most maintenance. If you opt for an asphalt pump track, another influencing factor is the type of asphalt and the choice of track elements used. For example, a pump track for running wheels cannot be compared in terms of cost with a professional facility with numerous jumps and curves, regardless of the size, the construction effort is decisive. We have made the experience that even for larger communities the costs for a pumptrack are far below what would have to be invested in a new soccer field, for example.

What are the advantages of asphalt pumptracks?

Clearly, the durability and all the other benefits that come with it. Asphalt pumptracks are extremely low maintenance and do not require much upkeep. The facilities are very durable and, accordingly, resistant to most types of vandalism. A key advantage that is often not directly recognized is the low noise pollution of asphalt pump tracks. If you choose the right asphalt, the pumptrack is one of the "quietest" sports facilities around. With a noise emission of about 80 DB, the pumptrack is much quieter than, for example, tennis courts or soccer fields.
